According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, more than 12 million Americans have food allergies. That is 1 person in every 25 people or 4% of the population. The incidence of food allergies is the highest among young children - 1 out of 17 incidents occur in children under the age of 3. There are about 3 million children in the United States who suffer from food allergies.

Working closely with the founder, we purposefully toned down the aesthetics of the User Interface to convey that this site is generated by everyday users and not major corporations.

Since the main purpose for this site is for parents to find packaged food for their children with allergies, we incorporated an element of whimsicality into the design aesthetics.
